We are looking for a Talent Acquisition Director to define, develop, implement, and drive a comprehensive talent acquisition strategy to deliver top talent to execute against business goals within all levels of the organization..  This position is a full time hybrid role reporting to our corporate office in Ann Arbor, Michigan.   

In this role you will….

  • Manage the full-cycle recruitment process to find, attract, and evaluate candidates, while ensuring excellent candidate experience.
  • Establish, execute and manage policies, plans and procedures around recruiting operations, reporting, analytics and sourcing that support the achievement of business goals.
  • Forecast hiring needs based on business growth plans.
  • Develop and implement hiring strategies to help the organization meet aggressive hiring goals.
  • Build a strong talent pipeline by designing and implementing best practice sourcing strategies, ensure effective advertising and posting methodologies and develop relationships with various associations and organizations.
  • Establish and maintain effective and collaborative working relationships with key stakeholders, hiring managers and members of the HR team in order to create a seamless and highly efficient sourcing and selection workflow.
  • Ensure that all stakeholders are aware of the recruitment and selection process and tools used by talent acquisition.
  • Ensure that all interviewers are properly trained in effective interview techniques.
  • Hire and manage staff to build and support the talent acquisition function as required, including all aspects of team performance and development of direct reports to encourage professional growth.
  • Work with Marketing to evaluate and implement employer branding strategies.
  • Lead the development of job descriptions, interview forms, candidate calibration processes, and other recruiting department needs.
  • Partner with HR Business Partners to ensure proper onboarding of new hires.
  • Monitor key recruitment metrics and hiring goals (i.e. vacancy rate, turnover rate, etc.) to ensure recruiting processes are efficient / effective; prepare associated reports and presentations.
  • Prepare and track annual recruitment budget.
  • Oversee the strategic use of vendors, 3rd party recruiters and temporary staffing agencies to achieve staffing objectives while staying within budget parameters.
  • Manage the Applicant Tracking System (ATS), strategy, and continued improvement.

Skills and experience you have...

  • Bachelor’s degree and 7+ years in HR, Talent Recruitment or/or Talent Development function.
  • Experience leading a team in a high growth environment required.
  • Experience recruiting an hourly workforce at volume required, experience in retail or manufacturing environments preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability in designing and implementing exceptional talent acquisition practices and strategies.
  • Passion for people of all types including the ability to identify the knowledge, skills and abilities required for various roles.
  • Proven ability to achieve results in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
  • Strong time management skills and the ability to shift priorities efficiently.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills including the ability to build consensus and influence across levels within the organization.
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to foster long-term relationships (with internal teams, external partners and candidates)
  • Computer skills - Microsoft Office, Outlook, Applicant Tracking Systems (ATSs), and HR databases.
  • Data-driven mentality and strong analytical skills to generate metrics, evaluate effectiveness, and identify insights that continuously improve the recruiting function.
  • Strong (and current) knowledge of all laws and regulations pertaining to employment and equal opportunity.
